Let’s start with a quick introduction, shall we?
My name is Limor, I am married and a mother of four children I am very proud of.
We live in our home country, Israel. Returned here after spending nine years in the US.
Finding a family picture is hard now that the kids are teenagers. This is a picture taken from our last vacation in Eilat.
My professional background is in software development. I studied computer science and accounting and started my career as a software engineer.
Along the way, I found out that I actually less enjoy coding and more enjoy working with people and customers.
So I navigated my career toward leadership.
I managed teams and organizations of software engineers for many years.
Somewhere along the way, I had a deep feeling that I was not on the right track, that there was more I could give to the world. I just was not sure what it was.
I discovered that I am very passionate about women in tech. I started mentoring managers in 2017 and discovered I enjoy it greatly, and the impact I can make on people’s careers is significant.
Also, in my last position as a Director of Engineering in DigitalOcean, I was heavily involved in hiring more women and influencing the organization to work with an organization called PowerToFly to help us hire more women.
Upon returning to Israel at the end of 2019, I decided it was time to pursue my mission to support women in tech. I was not sure what exactly I would do but decided to leave the career path I was at.
I started working with PowerToFly, created a mentorship program for women, and helped women in their careers and personal branding on LinkedIn.
I am a life learner and always want to learn new things and grow. I am doing my coaching certification and am close to the end of my training.
Personally, I love staying home, I can be in my PJ all day long, and I have worked from home since 2016.
I am a fitness addict (I love running and working out at the gym).
I also enjoy good wine and spending time with my family and friends.
